Getting Started Guide

Creating a Leolam account

Step 1: Get Started

Click on Get Started on the top right of each page of the Leolam webs

Step 2: Payment

Choose to pay in US Dollars and go directly to checkout for payment.

If choosing Israeli Shekels click on contact us to arrange payment. 

Payments are a one time fee.

Step 3: Sign up

Sign up for a paid account.

Step 4: Add an email/password

Use an email and create a password (or sign up with a google or facebook account)

Step 5: Click on Create New Legacy Site

Creating the legacy profile

(Once signed in)

Step 1: Click on the Create New Profile 

Once you're logged in you will be brought to the dashboard. If you are on a different page then click on the dashboard tab). The click on the Create New Profile button

Step 2: General info form

Fill in the form “General info about deceased” which includes uploading a profile picture, name in English and in Hebrew, Date of birth and death.

 

Input if the person had a cherished quote or something that best described their character or life.

Step 3: Updating the basic info at a later date.

 Once the profile is uploaded, you can always go back and edit the information from the dashboard.

Step 4: Edit basic information

Click on Edit Information and update bio, quote, profile photo.

Step 5: Posting to various sections

Further information can be uploaded by the administrator  from the profile page from the “Post” button. This includes Interests & Passions, Impact & Works, Special Memories, Eulogies (Hespedim) and the Photo & Video Gallery.

 

The Edit button allows the administrator to hide or show these sections. 

 

The Legacy Feed button is dedicated for the visitors who would like to upload a written, video or audio message, or share a movie clip or photos. The administrator can approve or reject all submissions at any point.

 Posting to the Legacy Feed 

1. Click on Post

As a visitor click on the "Post" button on the bottom right of the profile page.

Step 2: Fill out the post upload form

Fill out name, email, country and message

Step 3: Upload photos, movie clips, video or audio messages

The Post button is dedicated for the visitors who would like to upload a written, video or audio message, or share a movie clip or photos. The administrator can approve or reject all submissions at any point.

Step 4: Add tag, date & submit

Fill in your connection to the deceased, date and submit

Creating the Family Tree

Step 1: Go to Dashboard

Click on the Dashboard tab

Step 2: Create and Edit Family Tree

Click on Manage Family Tree

Step 3: Add a family member

Click on Add New Member

Step 4: Fill in Family Member form

Fill in the name, photo and relationship (son/daughter, sibling, partner) and then save changes
